Families of donors remembered their heroes, and organ recipients gave thanks during a ceremony that included a colorful balloon launch and a walk through University Hospital to view photographs of donors. Charlie and Martha Crane of Clinton enjoy the festivities at Friday's Legacy Lap. Charlie Crane received a donor heart 10 years ago in Texas, then had a kidney and liver transplant at UMMC shortly after moving to Mississippi about four years ago. Participants in the 2018 Legacy Lap wear T-shirts driving home the need for more organ donors. Burgers, hot dogs and chips awaited those taking part in the Legacy Lap.
