Mullen Family Foundation presents $25,000 check to Friends of Children's Hospital

Friends of Children’s Hospital, a support group for Batson Children’s Hospital, was recently chosen as the first beneficiary of funds from the Mullen 36 Family Foundation.

Megan Mullen and her husband, Mississippi State University’s head football coach Dan Mullen, created the foundation to benefit 36 different organizations in the state of Mississippi.
The money will be used as part of Friends’ $2 million campaign for the Children’s Heart Center at Batson Children’s Hospital. Also present to accept the check are, from left, Dr. Ali Dodge-Khatami, professor of pediatrics and congenital heart surgery, Terri Gillespie, Batson Children’s Hospital’s chief nursing officer, and Dr. Jorge Salazar, chief of pediatric and congenital heart surgery and co-director of the Children’s Heart Center.
