University neurosciences-stroke care earns AHA bronze award

Coleman announced that University of Mississippi Health Care's stroke program already has qualified for Get with the Guidelines (GWTG) silver status for 2011. The AHA awards recognize hospitals that demonstrate at least 85 percent compliance in each of the seven GWTG-Stroke Achievement Measures. The bronze award recognizes adherence to evidence-based guidelines for stroke care for 90 consecutive days. The silver award recognizes compliance over 12 consecutive months.
