UMMC doc helps asthmatics stay out of ER

Dr. Gailen Marshall, professor of medicine and director of the allergy and immunology division at the University of Mississippi Medical Center will speak about ways asthma patients can avoid the emergency room at noon on July 23 at the Delta Regional Medical Center Pavilion, 1693 Fairground Road, Greenville.
The event is sponsored by the Delta Health Alliance and UMMC. Marshall conducts a regular clinic for asthma patients at the Good Samaritan Clinic in Greenville.
The program is targeted to patients with asthma, their families and caregivers. Marshall will give practical ideas and tips on how to keep asthma under control on a daily basis and what to do when symptoms get suddenly worse.
Refreshments will be served to the first 50 attendees.
