Internal medicine specialist joins UMMC faculty

Dr. Frank Criddle III, an internist and infectious disease specialist, joined University of Mississippi Medical Center as a hospitalist and assistant professor following three years as a staff physician at the G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery VA Medical Center.
A 1991 graduate of UMMC, Criddle completed residency training in internal medicine at UMMC and began a two-year fellowship in infectious diseases at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas in 1996.
Criddle, a Greenwood native, served as chief of infectious disease in the Air Force's 81st Medical Group at Keesler Medical Center, Biloxi, before leading his own practice in infectious disease. He also worked as a clinical instructor of medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.
Certified by the American Board of Infectious Diseases and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Criddle is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
