September 7, 2023
To: All UMMC Faculty, Staff and Students
From: Dr. LouAnn Woodward, Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs
Subject: Appointment of Chief Human Resources Officer
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Lenior as chief human resources officer, effective October 1.
Frank is currently vice president and regional chief people officer for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in Baton Rouge and vice president of human resources and support services at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Frank has 25 years of experience in human resources in both health care and academia. His career has included positions at Vanderbilt University and Medical Center in Nashville, as human resources manager of affiliated entities; Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, as director of human resources; Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, also as director of human resources; and Mercy Health System in St. Louis, as executive director and vice president of human resources. He has been an active supporter of local causes, most recently as a trustee with the United Way of the Capital Area in Jackson and on the board of Operation Shoestring.
He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi.
Please join me in congratulating Frank on this appointment with Mississippi's academic medical center. I look forward to working with him as an experienced leader in human resources.
Thank you.
