When vertebrate animals are involved, UMMC’s Occupational Health and Safety Program for Animal Handlers must be on file with the IBC and maintained in the laboratory’s Biosafety Manual. If non-human primates are involved, UMMC’s Biosafety Level Containment Requirements for Procedures Working with Macaques must also be included.
