Institutes
What is a UMMC Institute?
Centers and institutes at UMMC are units designed to facilitate the contributions of groups to the core missions of education, research and health care. There are four categories - institutes, centers, clinical centers, and external designation centers.
Institutes are large multidisciplinary programs involved in all three missions and by definition involve multi-departmental collaboration and large multidisciplinary programs involved in all three missions of education, research and health care.
Each of UMMC's many centers and institutes is dedicated to creating a healthier Mississippi.
