
Dental care can be critical for kids with complex conditions
If a child's disease makes it necessary to use a feeding tube, his or her teeth may be vulnerable to plaque buildup. If a child's complex condition leaves him or her prone to infection, an abscessed tooth could be life-threatening. UMMC's Pediatric Dentistry Team works closely with Children's of Mississippi specialists to make sure these children get the oral health care they need.
