Following satisfactory completion of all requirements, Dental Hygiene students are awarded the bachelor of science in dental hygiene degree from the University of Mississippi and are eligible to apply to sit for national and regional board clinical examinations for certification and licensure as registered dental hygienists.
The program in dental hygiene is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
