Leadership
D. Ashley Robinson, PhD
Director
Dr. Robinson brings extensive experience in molecular microbiology and population genomics. He leads an active research program that studies genetic and genomic variation in pathogenic bacteria with a focus on antimicrobial-resistant and newly emerging strains. As core director, he meets with research investigators to discuss project design, provides oversight of operations, evaluates equipment needs, and sponsors seminars to educate researchers and promote and further develop core capabilities.
Ashley C. Johnson, PhD
Associate Director
Dr. Johnson is an experienced molecular biologist with training in multiple genomics applications. Her research program is examining the physiological effects of epigenetic modifications in preeclampsia and genetic factors associated with hypertension and kidney disease. As core associate director, she consults on a wide variety of assays including bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, methylation sequencing, and targeted amplicon and panel-based assays.
