Captain Lucian Roy Price III

Lucian Roy Price III, who has more than 26 years of law enforcement, higher education public safety and military experience, is captain of the criminal investigations division.  

He began his career as a security officer at UMMC in 2004. Just four years later, he was recognized as the department’s Police Officer of the Year. 

Prior to coming to UMMC, Price served as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1997-2005, receiving the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in 2000 at Camp Pendleton, California. 

Price, who holds an associate’s degree from Hinds Community College, lives in Clinton.
