Captain Robert Sartin
Robert Sartin is a seasoned law enforcement professional with a diverse background in public safety and security spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a vital member of the University of Mississippi Medical Center Police Department since July 2023, Sartin brings extensive experience and leadership to his role.
Prior to his current position, he served as the Director of Safety and Security at Parish Episcopal School from 2019 to 2023, where he implemented strategic security measures to ensure the safety of students and staff. Before transitioning into the education sector, Sartin worked as a Family Protection Officer at Hunt Consolidated, safeguarding high-profile individuals and their families from 2018 to 2019. His illustrious career began with the Dallas Police Department in 1987, where he held various roles of increasing responsibility, including Task Force Leader of the Southwest Border Task Force in collaboration with the FBI from 2012 to 2018 and as a SWAT Team Leader from 1995 to 2006, among other notable positions.
Sartin is highly trained and certified in incident management, reality-based training, tactical leadership, and firearms instruction, holding certifications such as FEMA Incident Management, Texas LTC Instructor, and Advanced SWAT Instructor. He has a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas, a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi, and an Associate of Arts from Jones Community College. Sartin's dedication to public safety and extensive expertise make him a valuable asset in any security or law enforcement capacity.
