Dr. Peter Arnold is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in complex traumatic and surgical wound reconstruction.  Dr. Arnold grew up in Minnesota and moved to Virginia while in high school. A graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina, he went on to obtain a PhD in somatosensory neurophysiology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.  He subsequently earned his MD from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Virginia prior to joining the plastic surgery faculty at UMMC.

Dr. Arnold is the Division Chief of Plastic Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He has been married to his wife, Catherine, for 24 years; they have three grown children. When not working, Dr. Arnold enjoys listening to all genres of music, cooking (Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and BBQ), and gardening. Dr. Arnold is also an avid road cyclist.

Dr. Jared Davis is double-board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery and specializes in breast reconstruction, body contouring, high-volume liposuction, and aesthetics.

Dr. Davis earned his baccalaureate degree at the prestigious Cornell University, followed by his medical degree (MD) at Meharry Medical College. He went on to complete general surgery residency, plastic surgery residency and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Louisville.

He returned home to Jackson to join the faculty at UMMC in 2018, where he most recently served as Associated Program Director of the Independent Plastic Surgery Resident Program. Dr. Davis’ clinical interests include aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, mastopexy (breast lift), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), body contouring, and complex wound reconstruction. Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys photography, golf, and traveling.

Dr. Laura S. Humphries is a plastic surgeon and fellowship-trained pediatric craniofacial surgeon who specializes in reconstruction of congenital facial differences as well as pediatric and adult breast reconstruction.

Dr. Humphries has focused expertise in craniomaxillofacial surgery, specializing in surgery of the skull, face, palate and jaw in infants, children, adolescents and adults. Her clinical and research interests include comprehensive cleft lip and palate care, treatment of congenital and acquired differences of the face and skull, craniofacial trauma, and female breast reconstruction.

Dr. Humphries studied cognitive psychology and neuroscience at Duke University and received her medical degree (MD) from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.  She trained as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the University of Chicago and completed her craniofacial fellowship training at the internationally-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Humphries lives in Jackson, Mississippi with her husband and two children.

Ian HoppeIan Hoppe, MD

Dr. Ian Hoppe is a board-certified plastic surgeon and fellowship-trained pediatric craniofacial surgeon who specializes in reconstruction of congenital facial differences. He currently serves as surgeon-in-chief for Children's of Mississippi. Dr. Hoppe's specific interests include craniofacial and cleft lip/palate surgery.

He has particular expertise in craniosynostosis correction using state-of-the-art methods with a focus on patient and family-centered care.

Dr. Hoppe completed plastic surgery training at Rutgers University in New Jersey and pediatric craniofacial surgery fellowship at the internationally-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a long-recognized leader in the treatment of these complex patients. Dr. Hoppe lives outside of Jackson with his wife and two children and enjoys cooking Asian food, growing peppers, and playing golf.

Dr. Ben McIntyre is double-board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery. He specializes in breast cancer reconstruction, aesthetic breast surgery, ‘tummy tuck,’ and ‘mommy makeover’ procedures.

Dr. McIntyre completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Virginia and subspecialty training in microvascular surgery at Wellington Regional Burns, Plastic, and Maxillofacial Unit in Wellington, New Zealand. He is the team lead for reconstructive breast surgery at UMMC and routinely performs complex breast reconstructive procedures such as the DIEP flap, nipple-sparing mastectomy reconstruction, and implant-based breast reconstruction.  He has personally performed hundreds of DIEP flap operations with greater than a 99% success rate. Dr. McIntyre is the Program Director of the only Integrated Plastic Surgery residency training program at UMMC.

He has served in many national leadership capacities, including the ASPS breast cancer and implant safety committee and the patient safety committee.  Dr. McIntyre is currently one of six Trustees for the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.  Outside of the hospital, Dr. McIntyre loves family time with his wife and four children.

Dr. Marc E. Walker is a board-certified plastic surgeon, fellowship-trained hand surgeon, and cosmetic surgeon. He has an appointment in the Division of Plastic Surgery and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UMMC. Dr. Walker has clinical and research interests as well as advanced expertise in both pediatric and adult hand surgery, cosmetic surgery, and aesthetics.

Dr. Walker is a native Mississippian and graduate of Ole Miss. He completed his medical education (MD) at the world-renowned Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School. Dr. Walker completed Plastic Surgery residency and subspecialty fellowship training in Hand Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He returned to his home state of Mississippi as an academic surgeon at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he teaches medical students, surgery residents, and clinical fellows. Dr. Walker offers the most highly advanced surgical techniques to all patients in plastic surgery, hand surgery, cosmetic surgery, and aesthetics.

He and his wife, Caroline (cardiac anesthesiologist), joined UMMC together in September 2019. They enjoy living in Jackson with their young daughter and her best friend (their Great Dane). When not working, Dr. Walker enjoys traveling, playing golf, and cooking. Dr. Walker has participated in, organized, and has a great passion for international plastic surgery and hand surgery mission work; he serves on the Executive Board of www.handhelp.org.
