Kevin Yearick

Chief Information Officer

Kevin Yearick headshotKevin Yearick was named chief information officer for the University of Mississippi Medical Center in May 2023, serving as the executive leader of information technology. In this role, he provides integrative management and direction to all UMMC’s shared information systems and related operations covering health care, research and academic missions of the Medical Center.

An expert in health care information management, Yearick has more than 25 years of experience in service delivery, strategy, innovation, operations, technology infrastructure, project management and system selection. Prior to becoming CIO, Yearick served the Medical Center as chief information officer-technology and was responsible for the infrastructure including server, network, telecommunications and technology services in the Division of Information Systems.

Before joining UMMC in 2014, Yearick was executive director of network services for Grady Health System, a 900-bed academic medical center in Atlanta. He served as director of corporate infrastructure services and manager of corporate information technology at Hospital Partners of America, a hospital holding company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 2003 to 2008. His responsibilities there included technology strategies and integration of all hospital acquisitions.

Yearick holds a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Queens University of Charlotte and has served as a board member of the university’s alumni association.
