Sinusitis (Rhinosinusitis)
Clinical evaluations are performed to determine whether nasal and sinus symptoms are allergy or non-allergy reactions. Treatment through the University of Mississippi Medical Center is offered based on those medical findings.
A program in collaboration with our otolaryngology and radiology services is offered for longtime management of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis, including those who have had multiple sinus surgeries, unusual infections, and symptoms associated with other chronic diseases or undiagnosed causes. Therapies include nasal and sinus lavage training and other self-management techniques. Topical nasal treatments as well as allergen immunotherapy may be considered for patients with allergic rhinitis.
