Monessa "Missy" Wadford has been a Registered Nurse since 1994 and is a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at UMMC. Missy is the lead nurse for the Hand and Upper Extremity Center. She received her Wound Care Certification (WCC) in 2006, and Ostomy Management Specialist (OMS) in 2013. Her experience includes staff nursing, management, policy and procedure development, and education in wound and ostomy care. Missy was the recipient of WCC of the year in 2012. She also has served on the Certification Committee as a Subject Matter Expert and Committee Chair. She is currently the President of the IAWCSF Board of Directors. |
