The educational programs at the University of Mississippi School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001, (202) 887-6791. At the most recent accreditation review in March 2012, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing programs were awarded the maximum 10-year accreditation period. In February 2017, the Doctor of Nursing Practice was awarded the maximum 10-year accreditation period and the Post-Master's certificate program was awarded a five-year initial accreditation.
School of Nursing programs are also in full compliance with the standards for approval by the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.
The University of Mississippi is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award degrees at the baccalaureate, master's and doctoral levels.
