Financial Support
Support The MIND Center and you’re supporting hope for the millions of people suffering from Alzheimer’s and other dementias worldwide. You’re supporting research into therapies that will slow, stop, or even prevent these diseases. Any level of support can help us bring Alzheimer’s and dementia-care services and support to Mississippians across the state.
One-time or monthly gifts
One-time or recurring gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated. Make a one-time gift by donating online or by mail. To set up a recurring gift, call (601) 815-4299 or email mindcenter@umc.edu.
Memorial gifts to honor a loved one
Memorial gifts may be made online, by mail, or by phone.
All memorial gifts will be acknowledged through a personal note to the family of your loved one. The steps for setting up a memorial gift can be found here.
Legacy gifts
Change the future with a lasting gift to The MIND Center (TIN 23-7310293).
- Bequests
Make a gift in your will for a fixed amount or percentage of your estate. - Beneficiary
Name the UM Foundation for the benefit of The MIND Center as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement or investment account, checking or savings account, or certificate of deposit - Charitable trust
Create a charitable trust benefiting The MIND Center with the help of your attorney. - Charitable gift annuity
Make a gift of cash or other assets, and in return, you or your designee receive fixed, annual payments for life.
IRA gifts for 70 ½ or above
If you are age 70 ½ or above, you are allowed to direct up to $100,000.00 annually from an individual retirement account to a qualifying charitable organization to avoid the tax liability from the additional income of your required minimum distribution.
Sponsorship opportunities
Throughout the year, The MIND Center hosts several unique fundraising events which offer sponsorship opportunities to businesses and individuals.
Workplace campaigns
Check with your employer to see if the company offers the option of donating to a charity through the convenience of payroll deduction.
Donor recognition
- Patron - $10,000 to $99,999
- Ambassador - $100,000 to $499,999
- Leader - $500,000 to $999,999
- Benefactor - $1,000,000 to $9,999,999
- Partner - $10,000,000 and higher
Upon cumulative giving of $10,000 or more, donors will be recognized on the donor wall in the Gertrude C. Ford MIND Research
