Research Interests
My research focuses on early childhood education as a critical, yet frequently overlooked, social determinant of health. I examine how access to high-quality early learning environments influences long-term developmental, educational, and health outcomes—particularly for children from marginalized communities. A central strand of my work investigates the unmet needs of children with developmental disabilities and the systemic barriers faced by working families in accessing affordable, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate care. Through this research, I aim to illuminate structural inequities, inform evidence-based policy, and promote cross-sector systems that foster healthy development and school readiness for all children, regardless of background or ability.
