Shuttle Service

UMMC provides free shuttle service to and from designated locations from Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium parking lot to the Medical Center campus and clinics. Shuttle buses operate Monday through Friday except on UMMC holidays.

Current routes

  • Green Line and Green Line + - Serves stadium stop #2 and #11 as well as Lakeland Drive stop #26 and stop #28. (Click here for details.) The shuttle runs 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Green Line+ is added from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and serves the Adult Hospital Circle, Lakeland, Jackson Medical Mall, Batson Specialty Clinic and Medical Tower.   • Gold Line - Serves the Veterans Memorial Stadium lots, stops near the SHRP, Apartments, Office Annex, Adult Hospital Circle, Batson Specialty Clinic and Medical Towers. (Click here for details.) The shuttle runs 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Blue Line - Serves the Veterans Memorial Stadium lots, stops near the Learning Resource, Campus Police Trailer, Children's Hospital, Wiser Hospital, Critical Care Hospital, Adult Hospital Circle, Batson Specialty Clinic and Medical Towers. (Click here for details.) The shuttle runs 5:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Red Line - Serves the Veterans Memorial Stadium lots, stops near the SHRP, Apartments, Office Annex, Learning Resource, Campus Police Trailer, Children's Hospital, Wiser Hospital, Critical Care Hospital, the Adult Hospital Circle, Batson Specialty Clinic and Medical Towers. (Click here for details.) The shuttle runs 6 p.m.-midnight. Note the last 15 minutes will be in the stadium parking lot before shutting down.
  • Silver Line - Serves those parked at the Farmer's Market. When the Veterans Memorial Stadium lots - including Lot E on the south side of Veterans Memorial Stadium - are full, the Silver Line is activated. The shuttle runs 8 a.m.-7 p.m., or until the Farmers Market lot is clear of vehicles. The route will include pick-up and drop-offs at stop #22 (Medical Tower/Lot E), stop #15, stop #25 and stop #24 (Gold Line) and stop #13 (in front of University Hospital). bus_zones_8.5x11.jpgReorganized routes will help streamline service and get employees, students and campus visitors where they need to go safely and efficiently. Simply park in a designated "zone" and catch the corresponding shuttle to specific locations on campus. Note: Some destinations will not have direct connections, so additional walking may be required. 

Shuttle bus shelters are located at designated lot and campus locations. Each shelter is clearly marked to indicate the shuttle zone and stop location.

Parking zones

  • Stadium parking zones
    • Blue – To access the health systems portion of campus, park in the blue zone of the Overflow Lot and Lot B.
    • Gold – To access the educational side of the campus, park in the gold section of Lot B.
    • Red – To access the University Physicians Pavilion, park in the Overflow Lot and Lot B.
    • Green – To access UMMC clinics on Lakeland Drive, park in the green section of Lot C and Lot E.
    • Walk to work - Those who would like to walk to campus should park in the gray sections of Lot A and Lot B and use the crosswalk at UMMC’s main entrance on North State Street.

Board at stadium shuttle stops 1, 2, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and disembark at shuttle stops 13 (Parking Garage A/University Hospital), 20 (Wallace Conerly Hospital for Critical Care) and 29 (Winfred L. Wiser Hospital for Woman and Infants/Batson Children’s Hospital).

Gold Line and Gold Line +

Board at stadium shuttle stops 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 22, 23 and 27 and disembark at shuttle stops 13 (Parking Garage A/University Hospital), 24 (Office Annex/Translational Research Center), 25 (Apartment Buildings/Alumni House) and 15 (Norman C. Nelson Student Union/School of Health Related Professions). Note: Gold Line + buses are in service only when stadium parking is full.

Red Line

Board at stadium shuttle stops 5, 22, 27 and 30 and disembark at shuttle stops 13 (Parking Garage A/University Hospital), 24 (Office Annex/Translational Research Center), 25 (Apartment Buildings/Alumni House), 15 (Norman C. Nelson Student Union/School of Health Related Professions), 17 (Clinical Sciences Building) and 16 (Learning Resource Center/Computer Center). Note: The Red Line travels in the reverse direction on campus compared to the other bus routes.

Green Line

Board at stadium shuttle stops 22, 27 and 30 and disembark at shuttle stops 26 and 28 at UMMC clinics on Lakeland Drive.

  • Hours: 6-10 a.m. and 2:30-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

Night Line

Nelson Student Union/School of Health Related Professions), 17 (Clinical Sciences Building), 16 (Learning Resource Center/Computer Center), 20 (Wallace Conerly Hospital for Critical Care) and 29 (Winfred L. Wiser Hospital for Woman and Infants/Batson Children’s Hospital). The Night Line is a combination of the daily Blue, Gold and Red Line routes.

Wiser Hospital for Woman and Infants/Batson Children’s Hospital). Note: It will assist Green Line coverage from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
