The Office of Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) has established policies, procedures and standards to aid our A/E teams who are engaged in performing work at UMMC. Access to our UMMC Design Guidelines can be accessed by the link below.
Once a professional has been selected to perform work at UMMC, the assigned project manager will lead the project team through the design and construction process.
The design professionals will be authorized to begin work once a notice to proceed has been issued, and are responsible to invoice according to the terms established in the agreement. Upon project kick-off, the A/E team will work in collaboration with the UMMC project team, following the UMMC Capital Project Delivery Guidelines.
As the project advances to the construction phase, the A/E team will provide construction administration services as required. The design professionals will also be responsible for coordinating project close-out, including as-built CAD files. These requirements will vary based on the size and complexity of the project.
