Translation and Interpretive Services
The University of Mississippi Medical Center offers in-person Spanish interpreters/translators and a Choctaw liaison from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
We also provide a language line which offers 24/7 access to:
- Over 200 languages
- Sign language interpreters for our hearing-impaired patients
- Certified translation services through our contracted vendor
- Special arrangements can be made for use of a TTD, materials in Braille, communication boards, eyeglasses, etc.
If possible, please let our staff know you will need an interpreter when you make your appointment, or contact the Office of Patient Experience at (601) 815-4545.
