COVID-19 has changed life as we know it, including the way we interview applicants. We absolutely love seeing and meeting you all in person, but we will be hosting all virtual interviews and an optional in-person visit, likely in December and January. We know that you need to get a true “feel” for a program in order to see how great it is, and we will try our best to convey that virtually. Official dates will be posted soon, so please check back! First, please review our website to learn more about our program and its people. Another way to gain more insight into our program is through our social media accounts – follow us on Instagram and Twitter! Second, apply to our program! Third, reach out to any of us in program leadership (Program Directors, Chief Residents, or Program Administrators) with questions!
Application Requirements for UMMC Internal Medicine Residency Program
Only electronic applications via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) are accepted for admission into our residency program.
For the 2022 ERAS® cycle, our program strongly encourages all applicants to complete a supplemental ERAS application, offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. Applicants also will be required to complete the MyERAS application. The additional information collected will help our program staff learn more about applicants’ medical education journey, including more meaningful information about work, volunteer, and research experiences, and will help us better identify applicants who fit our program environment and mission.
This supplemental ERAS application will be delivered on a survey platform that is separate from the MyERAS application and must be completed in September 2021.
Please bookmark the supplemental ERAS application section of the AAMC website to find the latest information, FAQs, and resources.
Visit our Application FAQs page for more information and please reach out to us with questions!
