PERSONAL STATEMENT:

I have a background in physiology and pharmacology with specific training and expertise in cardiovascular and erectile systems, focusing on physiology and pathophysiology of hypertension, diabetes and sexual function. As a PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Darizy Flavia Silva at Federal University of Bahia (Brazil), I learned basic concepts of vascular control, and this was extended during my training with Dr. R.Clinton Webb as international exchange at University of South Carolina (USA).
