Telemedicine

The UMMC Center for Telehealth operates an Emergency Telemedicine network in conjunction with more than 20 hospitals across Mississippi. When a patient comes to a network hospital for emergency care, UMMC’s Emergency Department providers may connect for provider-to-provider consultation for treatment. This can include making care recommendations for stroke patients.

Our stroke team offers training to providers and staff in community hospitals across the state in UMMC’s processes for high quality stroke care.
