School of Nursing Multicultural Affairs mission:To promote an environment that embraces and values the racial, ethnic, gender and cultural differences that exist among members of the School of Nursing.
The purpose of the mentorship program is to provide students from different racial and ethnic backgrounds the opportunity to interact with and be mentored by practicing nurses with similar backgrounds. Participants gain invaluable insight into the nursing profession; receive the guidance and support of a seasoned RN; build the foundation for a lasting professional network; and gain a clearer understanding of academic and career plans.
Throughout the year, scholarship opportunities become available. Multicultural Affairs, in conjunction with the Office of Student Affairs, disseminates this information to students
