Dean's Message

Dr.-Joey-Granger_Crop-1.jpgWe are proud of our campus and the rich history that has formed the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In the School for Graduate Studies in the Health Sciences, we are also proud of our people.

More than 200 graduate faculty members are involved in a wide range of cutting-edge biomedical research that is supported by extramural grants totaling over $60 million. The graduate faculty members also teach more than 225 health sciences-related courses.

We have approximately 200 master’s and PhD degree students enrolled in 13 programs of study, encompassing basic and clinical sciences. Our success at training research scientists is underscored by the fact that UMMC graduates are employed as faculty or staff at numerous medical centers, universities, research institutes, governmental agencies, and biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

Thank you for visiting our page and taking time to learn more about our school – and our people.
