  • Dr. William Pruett (Physiology & Biophysics)
    Received a SBIR grant through the FDA titled "A Computer Model of Renal Physiology for use as a FDA Medical Device Development Tool." Dr. Pruett will be modifying and documenting HumMod, Guyton and Coleman's legacy project, for use as a tool to enrich clinical trials.
  • Dr. Frank Spradley (Surgery-Transplant)
    Awarded a NIH K99/R00 grant for his research entitled "Effect of obesity on antiangiogenic and inflammatory mechanisms mediating hypertension during pregnancy."
  • Dr. Aleisha Moore (Neurobiology and Anatomical Sciences)
    Awarded a 2017 Postdoctoral Fellowship award from the American Association of Anatomist. Aleisha will be honored at the annual meeting during Experimental Biology.
