Academics

The Division of Cardiac Imaging is one of the few academic programs in the country offering imaging of the cardiovascular system by radiologists and cardiologists specifically trained in cardiac imaging.

The program includes an educational opportunities for medical student, residents, fellows, and visiting physicians and technologists. We offer comprehensive imaging services, including plain film radiography, cardiac computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance angiography for both acquired cardiac disease in adults and congenital heart disease in children and adults.

There is a close working relationship between radiology, cardiology, adult and congenital cardiac surgery as well as with vascular surgery to provide the best possible patient care and training of future leaders.

Research projects are ongoing and include opportunities to participate in basic science as well as clinical studies. Educational activities include two weekly didactic conferences in collaboration with cardiology and two weekly case conferences with pediatric cardiology and pediatric cardiac surgery. Additional weekly conferences with adult cardiac surgery and daily conferences in radiology are available for medical students, residents and fellows.
