A Message from the Division Director

Welcome to the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Whether making new discoveries, providing care or educating the next generation of hematology and oncology specialists, innovation and excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
Our collaborative approach allows us to provide comprehensive care to each patient's unique needs across all types of cancer.
As part of Mississippi's only academic medical center, specialists in our division care for a diverse range of hematologic and oncologic conditions. We're proud to offer leading-edge therapies to the people of Mississippi.
Our Division serves as the clinical arm of the Cancer Center and Research Institute, bringing together physicians, nurses and researchers in a growing center that is seeking a National Cancer Institute designation. This team approach enhances our ability to prevent, detect and treat cancer.
Translating research into cures is a focus in our division, which includes a growing number of scientists seeking breakthroughs in the understanding of cancer and blood disorders. Through our active participation in clinical trials, we ensure patients have access to the most advanced treatments available, informed by the latest clinical guidelines.
We're committed to training the next generation of hematology and oncology specialists, with nine fellows in our program each year.
By combining exceptional clinical care with a strong focus on research and education, we're helping shape the future of hematology and oncology. We welcome you to connect with us and be part of that journey.
