Dr. Anson Thaggard named CCRI Employee of the Month

The UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute is proud to recognize Dr. Anson Thaggard, associate professor of radiology and CCRI member, as the Employee of the Month for his outstanding contributions to both clinical practice and education.

Thaggard has a distinguished career defined by his dedication to patient care and commitment to educating the next generation of medical professionals. He began his journey in 1991 after graduating from the UMMC School of Medicine. He then completed his family medicine residency in 1994, practicing for eight years before returning to UMMC for his radiology residency. His passion for specialized care led him to pursue a nuclear medicine fellowship, solidifying his expertise in the field.

Today, Thaggard blends his clinical radiology practice with his role as an educator, shaping future radiologists and medical professionals. He is certified in nuclear radiology subspecialty and diagnostic radiology from the American Board of Radiology.
