Biography: Jessie G. Harvey, M.D., Pulmonary/Critical Care Program Director and Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at UMMC is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. She is from Natchez, MS and completed undergraduate training at the University of Southern Mississippi. She completed her medical training, residency, chief residency, and fellowship at UMMC and started as a faculty member in the division of Pulmonary/Critical Care in 2018. She currently serves as the program director for the Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship program and as the Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit. She leads the Point-of-Care Ultrasound curriculum for the Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship. She is a core faculty member for Internal Medicine. Other UMMC committees include the CLABSI Committee, Code Blue Committee, and the Admissions Executive Council for the School of Medicine among several others. She is also a House Mentor for Evers House in the School of Medicine. She has a passion for education and enjoys getting to teach to various learner levels from M1s to 3rd year fellows.
