Transcripts and Services

Official transcripts and education verifications

Effective Aug. 28, 2020, UMMC has partnered with Parchment to provide official transcripts, enrollment verifications, and degree verifications to our students and alumni.  Please visit our Parchment Storefront to access these services.  Requests for these services can be made by students/former students or a designated third party who has a signed authorization from the student/former student.  Fees for third party individuals are different than students and alumni.  Official transcripts and education/degree verifications can be sent electronically or by mail.  Express delivery options are also available.  Please email transcripts@umc.edu or call (601)984-1080 if you have questions regarding transcript requests or verifications.  Fees for these services are listed below.  Current UMMC faculty members should contact transcripts@umc.edu to inquire further about the faculty request process.

Unofficial transcripts

Currently enrolled students can obtain unofficial copies of transcripts through the My UMMC Student Portal.  These can be accessed by navigating to the Academic tab and clicking “Request a Transcript” on the left.  Unofficial transcripts will not be provided to students or alumni by the Office of Enrollment Management.

Loan deferments

The Office of Enrollment Management submits institutional enrollment records to the National Student Clearinghouse by the 30th day of each month.  If you need a loan deferment form submitted on your behalf because you have been placed in a repayment status, please call our office at (601)984-1080 to inquire how to submit the deferment form to our office for completion. 

MS residency review process

The Office of Enrollment Management reviews residency classification for applicants and enrolled students.  Applicants requiring a residency review to secure Mississippi residency for admission and tuition purposes will be sent a residency request within their application portal. 

Enrolled students who would like to submit documentation to have their Mississippi residency status reviewed for tuition purposes should contact Christi Hardy, EdD, Director of Student Admissions for more information.

Residency classification at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is based upon the Policies and Bylaws of the Board of Trustees Institutions of Higher Learning, State of Mississippi, as approved by IHL and as identified as Section 603 of the Policies and Bylaws of the governing board of higher education for the state of Mississippi.
