Transcripts and Services

Requesting verification from UMMC

Official transcripts and education/degree verifications may be sent electronically or by mail. Express delivery options are also available.

Visit our Parchment Storefront to request official transcripts and/or degree and enrollment verifications. Current or former UMMC students, or designated third-party individuals with a signed authorization from the current student or former student, may request these services.

Current UMMC faculty members should email transcripts@umc.edu to inquire further about the faculty request process.

Sending official transcripts to UMMC

The Office of Enrollment Management receives all official transcripts for admission and student record purposes.

  • If the sending school uses Parchment, then official transcript(s) should be sent to “UMMC All Admissions.”
  • If the sending school uses a different electronic transcript service that requires an email address, official transcript(s) should be sent to transcripts@umc.edu.
  • If the sending school will mail the official transcript, it should be mailed to the Office of Enrollment Management's physical address:

Requesting unofficial transcripts from UMMC

Currently enrolled students can obtain unofficial copies of transcripts through their Workday Student account. These can be accessed by logging into Workday and typing Generate Unofficial Transcript in the search bar at the top. Unofficial transcripts will not be provided to students or alumni by the Office of Enrollment Management.

Loan deferments

The Office of Enrollment Management submits institutional enrollment records to the National Student Clearinghouse by the 30th day of each month.

If a student needs a loan deferment form submitted on their behalf because they have been placed in repayment status, please call our office at (601) 984-1080 to learn how to complete and submit the form.

MS residency review process

The Office of Enrollment Management reviews residency classification for applicants and enrolled students. Applicants who require a residency review to establish Mississippi residency for admission and tuition purposes will receive a residency request within their application portal.

Enrolled students who would like to submit documentation to have their Mississippi residency status reviewed for tuition purposes should contact the office for more information.

Residency classification at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is based upon the Policies and Bylaws of the Board of Trustees Institutions of Higher Learning, State of Mississippi, as approved by IHL and as identified as Section 603 of the Policies and Bylaws of the governing board of higher education for the state of Mississippi.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. Visit UMMC's FERPA web page for more.

Bulletin archive requests

Please visit our UMMC Bulletin Archive on the intranet to view prior electronic versions of the UMMC Bulletin. To request specific information contained in print versions of bulletins not electronically available, please contact our office at (601) 984-1080 or by email at Registrar-Everyone@umc.edu.
