Office of Academic Affiliations

The educational mission of the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is to improve the lives of Mississippians by educating tomorrow's health care professionals. In support of this mission and the community, the institution offers educational experiences to future health care professionals enrolled in academic programs at affiliated institutions throughout the state and beyond or pursing learning opportunities as educational observers or educational enrichment program participants.

The Office of Academic Affiliations delineates the conditions under which these individuals may interact with the institution.

• Affiliated institutions requesting students currently enrolled in their academic programs to engage in educational experiences at UMMC should refer to the webpage for Affiliated Students.
• Individuals interested in sponsoring or serving as educational observers should refer to the webpage for Educational Observers.
• Individuals interested in UMMC programs that provide learning experiences to promote interest and future professional developments in the basic and clinical sciences should refer to the webpage for Educational Enrichment Programs.
