Physical Therapy

Physical therapy offered through the University of Mississippi Medical Center focuses on the examination, management, and prevention of motion disorders. Therapists examine and provide treatment for patients with health problems and disabilities resulting from birth defect, injury, disease, overuse of muscles or tendons, pain, or loss of a body part.

Therapists at University Physicians Pavilion also participate in a physical therapy sports residency program, the only one of its kind in the Southeastern United States, to provide leading-edge examination techniques and interventions for orthopaedic and sports-related injuries.
