Why did you choose UMMC?:
It really came down to two things: the experience and the people. During my away rotation, the case volume and variety were honestly unreal. A single month felt like a highlight reel of what might take a full year to see at other places. What stood out even more, though, was the culture. The residents genuinely looked out for each other and were invested in teaching. Instead of competing for opportunities, juniors were pulling me into cases, showing me things, and helping me get better. The attendings pushed residents to be excellent, but in a way that was supportive and built real confidence

Career Interest:
- Craniofacial and hand surgery, including congenital and pediatric reconstruction
- Biomechanical engineering, surgical innovation, and advanced prosthetics
- Health equity, global surgery, and care for underserved populations


Hobbies:
- Tennis, pickleball, and most things that involve water and a mild risk of injury (kayaking, whitewater rafting, wakeboarding)
- Hiking, snowboarding, and generally trying to spend as little time indoors as possible
- Cooking, stand-up comedy, and Will Ferrell movies on repeat


What you like to do in your free time?:
- Tennis, pickleball, and most things that involve water and a mild risk of injury (kayaking, whitewater rafting, wakeboarding)
