Professional activities
Dr. Stringer is professor and chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences at UMMC. He was formerly professor and vice chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He has been selected as the departmental faculty Teacher of the Year 10 times in his career, was a finalist for the ACGME Parker J. Palmer "Courage to Teach" Award in 2005, and was named the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society Faculty Teacher of the Year for UMMC in 2006. He is a recipient of the Honor Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is listed in The Best Doctors in America, America's Top Doctors, and America's Top Doctors for Cancer publications. His clinical interests are in the fields of health care economics and rhinology.
