Scholarship Qualifications

The allied health student must:

  • Complete the online MRAHPSP application;
  • Submit two letters of recommendation. One letter must be one must be from a faculty member and the second from a well-respected or distinguished community member from their hometown region;
  • Demonstrate a sincere interest and commitment to rural health through volunteerism or employment experience;
  • Demonstrate an academic record of at least a 3.0 GPA based on transcript;
  • Present an academic record (coursework, grades, required test scores, etc.) that is considered credible and competitive by the admission committee of the respective program in which they are accepted and enrolled;
  • Demonstrate the aptitude and commitment to rural health during an interview; and
  • Have no conflicting service requirement upon completion of education/training (approval may be required).
