Scholarship Eligibility

These prerequisites for application must be met:

• Recipient must be a legal resident of Mississippi
• Current or permanent residence should include a ZIP code deemed "rural." Rural is generally defined as a community of 20,000 or less, according to the last preceding U.S. Decennial Census or a medically underserved (MUA) area
• Recipient must have completed at least one year in an academic program within the School of Health Related Professions (SHRP) at UMMC.
