Health Informatics and Information Management Admission Requirements - Master

In addition to the admission standards of the institution and the general admission requirements of the School of Health Related Professions, candidates seeking admission to the Health Informatics and Information Management's master degree (MHIIM) program must:  

  • Have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning with a GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale on the last 60 hours attempted; 
  • An official report of Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.  Score reports must be sent directly from the testing agency to the Office of Enrollment Management, University of Mississippi Medical Center.  School Code: 1857; 
  • A resume; 
  • An essay; and 
  • Successfully complete (a grade of "C" or better) a course in Human Anatomy and Physiology. This includes Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II (lab not required) or one course that covers anatomy and physiology related to all body systems.  

Students will be selected on a competitive basis. Qualification does not ensure admission.
