Dr. James Wallace, previously a urologist at the Urology Clinic of Meridian, Anderson Regional Medical Center, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an assistant professor of surgery.After receiving his B.S. as a physician assistant summa cum laude from South University, Savannah, Georgia, in 2003, Wallace served as a full-time physician assistant in internal medicine and pediatrics in Springfield, Georgia, from 2003-08 before earning his M.D. at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, in 2012. He then had urology residency training from 2012-17 at UMMC and joined the Urology Clinic of Meridian in 2017.An active member of the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons and the Christian Medical and Dental Association, Wallace is an inductee of Alpha Omega Alpha, the Gold Humanism Society, Phi Alpha and Phi Theta Kappa. The author and coauthor of three articles in peer-reviewed publications, he has given seven invited presentations at scientific meetings nationally.He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, college football, reading and hunting.
