Scott Rodgers, M.D., professor and chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, is board certified in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. He is a native of Decatur, Georgia and received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He completed his residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where he served as a chief resident. Dr. Rodgers went on to complete his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, also at MGH. Prior to his move to UMMC, Dr. Rodgers served as the associate dean for medical student affairs at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. At UMMC, in addition to his duties as a department chair, Dr. Rodgers is a co-director of UMMC's Center for Gender and Sexual Minority Health and chairman of the board of UMMC's Neuro Institute.
