Jessie G. Harvey, M.D., Pulmonary/Critical Care Program Director and Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at UMMC is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. She is from Natchez, MS and completed undergraduate training at the University of Southern Mississippi. She completed her medical training, residency, chief residency, and fellowship at UMMC and has been an assistance professor since 2018. She leads the Point-of-Care Ultrasound curriculum for the internal medicine residents and pulmonary/critical care fellows. She is also a core faculty member for Internal Medicine and serves on the IM House Officer Selection Committee. Other committees include DoM Diversity and Inclusion, UMMC Central Line Insertion and Necessity Committee, and the School of Medicine Curriculum Redesign Task Force. She is also a House Mentor for the Evers House in the School of Medicine.
