Dr. Carron completed a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Seattle Children's after doing Otolaryngology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is active in many major specialty societies, such as the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Pediatrics - Section on Otolaryngology, American Society for Pediatric Otolaryngology, and the Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He was instrumental in establishing the first cochlear implant program at UMC and has successfully implanted over 200 children and adults since its inception. He is also the medical student program director for the department. He has authored or co-authored over 40 publications. His clinical interests include hearing loss, implantable hearing devices, and head and neck masses.
