I did my Medical School in India and graduated in 1994. I moved to US with my husband and child in 1997. I was always inclined towards Pathology. Pathology is my passion, both the teaching aspect and the clinical aspect. I did my residency in New York at Nassau University Medical Center. After completion, I did my fellowship at University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2006-07 and was recruited as a faculty. I have been working here since last ten years. I am fellowship program director, since 2011, and I have trained 12 cytopathology fellows and numerous residents rotating on cytology services. Teaching is my passion and I love teaching anatomic pathology and train the residents and fellows for board exams. I got the best teacher of the year award in Anatomic Pathology in 2014-15 and 2015-16. I have helped residents and fellows write several scientific papers based on Cytopathology. I am invited as a speaker in prestigious American Society of Cytopathology meeting in November 2016, at New Orleans and was an invited speaker in ' International conference of Cytopathology and Histopathology' in Las Vegas in August this year.My aim is to have state of art Cytopathology lab at UMMC and to teach fellows and residents new trends and innovations in field of cytopathology.
