My Approach to Healthcare
I always view my patients as a whole human, not as a person needing care within a particular subspecialty. No matter what their chief complaints are, I try to listen to their story and their current concerns even if it is outside the scope of my expertise, so that I can direct them to appropriate services. I ask my patients if they are getting the services they need and how I can improve myself and our department as a whole to provide better care for them.
