Biography: I was raised on the MS Gulf Coast. I currently live in Gluckstadt, MS with my husband, 20 month old son, two dogs and a cat. I obtained my BSN with psych minor from USM in 2013. After 1 year of bedside nursing in PM&R and Orthopedics, I attended UMMC for my MSN in Family Medicine. Since graduating in 2016, I have worked full time as an NP in Hospital Medicine at UMMC. As of 2021, I also serve as a PM&R prn NP at MRC. I enjoy volunteer work and research involving Alzheimer's disease, as my grandmother passed away after a 15 year battle with this disease. I've also enjoyed precepting RN & NP students as well as new graduates, which is a big reason I joined the UMMC community. By becoming a physician, I hope to become a stronger medical team leader, teacher and patient advocate.
