Biography: Amy Johnson, FNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who has been working in Lexington at Holmes Family Medicine as an NP for eight years. She began her medical career in 2011 when she graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a Master of Science in Nursing. Amy worked in the community as a home health nurse and in long-term care facilities prior to completing her Master of Science in Nursing. Amy works as a Family Nurse Practitioner, where she specializes in treating patients with chronic health conditions. However, she also treats patients with minor/acute illnesses and provides wellness exams. She is certified to perform DOT exams for CDL applicants and holders. She has held several leadership positions throughout her career. She is an active member of the Mississippi Nurses Association and is pursuing her doctoral degree in Advance Practice Nursing at UMMC. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering in the community, mission projects, and arrowhead hunting.
