Biography: Angela Fagan has been a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in the Department of Neurology since 2014. She currently
works in the outpatient neurology clinic alongside Dr. Huang providing care for patients with movement disorders, while also working with patients in
general neurology. Prior to becoming a provider in the outpatient care setting, she worked in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at UMMC. In
2013, she graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a Masters in Nursing and an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certificate. She is a board certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She also maintains certifications as a Critical Care Registered Nurse through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, as well as Stroke Certified Registered
Nurse and Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse through the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. Prior to her career in neurology, Angela
cared for patients in the Cardiovascular and Intensive Care unit for 15 years. Patients have been her top priority since 1998, therefore, she continues her education continuously in preparation for advancements in neurology. She has been a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Academy of Neurology, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Neurocritical Care Society, American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, and International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
